Pre-Operation Testing and Monitoring

We perform in-house pre-op bloodwork to detect any issues, such as infection or abnormal organ function, that may require unique protocols or delay the procedure.

A dedicated surgery assistant will place an IV catheter, administer fluids during the operation, and monitor your pet’s heart function (EKG), oxygenation (pulse ox), and other vital signs throughout the surgery to help ensure your pet’s safety.

We closely and continuously care for your pet throughout recovery, ensuring they are warm and comfortable until they can stand independently. Most of our pet patients go home the same day.

Our team will also guide you on post-op care, including any medications, possible side effects, cleaning any incisions at home, and follow-up appointments.
