Hixson Pet Wellness Center is happy to provide pet dental exams and cleanings. These procedures are performed while your pet is under general anesthesia to ensure their safety and comfort. Our team will carefully examine their mouth, teeth, and gums for any signs of decay or disease.

After the exam, our team thoroughly cleans your pet’s mouth. We use specialized tools, such as an ultrasonic scaler and hand instruments, to remove any built-up plaque and tartar from the teeth and under the gum line. We will then polish the teeth to remove any remaining bacteria, smooth out rough surfaces that may attract more plaque, and rinse your pet’s mouth. We may also apply a fluoride treatment to strengthen their teeth.
